High-energy punk rock cover band Punk Rock Factory play The Lemon Tree, with support from Call It Off.
Punk Rock Factory play The Lemon Tree on Sunday 18 October, bringing their set of punk rock covers to Aberdeen. They're the main act of the night, and they're not playing their own songs — the whole thing is built around punk versions of tracks you'll already know. If you're into that, it's a straightforward night of covers rather than a new album tour.
They describe themselves as high-energy punk rock powerhouses, and that's a good summary of what they do: they take familiar songs and run them through a punk filter. It's the kind of gig where you'll recognise the tunes but hear them played with a lot more distortion and a faster tempo than the originals. If you've never seen them before, that's the basic idea — punk versions of songs you know, played loud.
They're not the only ones on the bill. Call It Off open the night, and they're on at 7.40pm, so the music starts a bit after the doors open. It's a two-band bill, with Call It Off getting the first slot and Punk Rock Factory taking over for the main set. Between the two, you've got a full evening of live music rather than just a single act.

Doors open at 7.00pm at The Lemon Tree, 5 West North Street, Aberdeen AB24 5AT. Tickets are £30.25. The night is for ages 14 and over, and under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult, so if you're bringing anyone younger, keep that in mind. With doors at 7.00pm and Call It Off on at 7.40pm, you've got a bit of time to get in and settled before the first band kicks off.
