Stand-up show 'HAPPY' by Paul Smith, his biggest and boldest show yet, with his trademark crowd work and true stories.
Paul Smith brings his new show, HAPPY, to P&J Live on Saturday 7 November, with doors opening at 18:00 and the show starting at 19:30. It's a long one — 135 minutes on stage — and it's part of a massive tour running through the UK, Ireland, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, with more dates to follow in 2027.
If you haven't come across him before, Smith is a stand-up comedian and a regular at Hot Water Comedy Club, where he was crowned Liverpool's New Comedian of the Year and made the finals of The Leicester Comedian of the Year. He describes HAPPY as the biggest and boldest show of his career, following sold-out runs and viral success across the globe. He's taking his trademark crowd work, razor-sharp observations and laugh-out-loud true stories to a new level: fast, fearless and relentlessly funny, packed with outrageous audience interaction and stories pulled straight from real life. He puts it as a show about finding joy in the chaos and laughter in the everyday.
Because of the heavy focus on audience interaction, it's the kind of night where you're as much a part of the show as you are watching it. The 135-minute runtime means there's plenty of room for those stories to breathe, and the crowd work is a big part of what he does. It's a long set, so it's worth keeping the timing in mind if you're planning your evening around it.
