Musical theatre show about love, staged by an award-winning cast and crew made up almost exclusively of adults with learning disabilities and their staff.
Love Across Time runs at the Aberdeen Arts Centre on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 February 2027, with performances at 2pm and 7pm on Friday and a 2pm matinee on Saturday. It's a musical theatre show that follows the company's main couple on a journey of true love, told through a series of demonstrations of their favourite shows and musicals. The whole thing is built around love, laughter, music, dance, and the cast's own jokes and high notes, and it's billed as the culmination of months of rehearsals.
What makes it stand out is who's on stage. The cast and crew are made up almost entirely of adults supported with learning disabilities and their staff, working alongside friends of the charity. It's an award-winning company, and the show is their big moment after months of work. The story is simple—two people in love—but it's told through the music and theatre they love, so you'll recognise the songs and styles they're drawing on. Between the musical numbers, they bring in their own jokes, so it's as much about the people performing as it is about the songs they're singing.
