Magician-scientist Kevin Quantum brings his show of impossible illusions and levitations, where science meets magic, to The Tivoli Theatre.
Kevin Quantum brings his show Anti-Gravity to The Tivoli Theatre on Tuesday 10 November, part of a tour that's taken him to sell-out houses around the world. He's a magician-scientist and a member of The Magic Circle, and he describes his act as sitting exactly where science and magic meet. The whole thing is built around impossible illusions and levitations that lean on his scientific background.
That background is a big part of who he is: he's spent half his adult life studying physics and the other half studying magic, and he was tutored by Penn & Teller. You can hear that influence in the way he works, too — reviewers have pointed out all the hallmarks of Penn & Teller in his stagecraft and described his illusions as epic stunts. He's touring under the tagline 'Magic is real. And he'll prove it to you.'
