The Eagles tribute act Hotel California plays The Tivoli Theatre with their signature sunshine rock sound.
Hotel California play The Tivoli Theatre on Saturday 31 October, a tribute night dedicated to The Eagles. The set runs for around 100 minutes, and they've named a good chunk of what's on the bill: 'Hotel California', 'One of These Nights', 'Witchy Woman', 'Boys of Summer', 'Heartache Tonight', 'Lyin' Eyes', 'Peaceful Easy Feeling', 'Desperado' and 'In the City'.
It's not just the well-known ones, though. They're also pulling from Long Road Out Of Eden, The Eagles' 2007 album, and bringing in solo hits from Don Henley and Joe Walsh. So you'll get the big songs everyone knows, the later material, and the things the two of them did on their own, all in one go. The band describes their approach as faithfully re-creating The Eagles' signature Californian sunshine rock sound, drawing on the band's extensive catalogue.
The venue adds its own bit of history to the night: The Tivoli Theatre is an A-listed Victorian building dating from 1872, so it's a proper old Aberdeen room for a night of West Coast rock. It's at 34-48 Guild Street, AB11 6NB.
