Aberdeen's Christmas pantomime, with circus acts, comedy and festive family fun, at His Majesty's Theatre.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears opens at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday 28 November, running through to Sunday 3 January. It's Aberdeen's Christmas panto, and the theatre is the city's home for it, so it's one of those things that marks the season here. For five weeks the venue transforms into a circus big top, and the story follows Goldilocks as she sets out to save Barnum's Circus from the clutches of the villainous Baroness Von Winklebottom, aided by a cast of familiar faces. You'll get riotous comedy, extraordinary special effects, hair-raising stunts and amazing circus acts, a spectacle where anything can and will happen.
The cast brings together a few names you'll recognise. Gary Barnum is played by Gary, the Tank Commander; Dame Betty Barnum by Alan McHugh; Daddy Bear by Paul J Corrigan; Goldilocks by Jamie Marie Leary; and the evil Baroness Von Winklebottom by Anne Smith, with The Amazing Gordan Marquez also in the mix. It's a big ensemble, and the circus theme runs through the whole thing, so the acts are as much a part of the show as the story.
