The touring stage musical Dirty Dancing, with Joel Benjamin as Johnny Castle and Charlie Varlet as Baby, returns to His Majesty's Theatre.
Dirty Dancing returns to His Majesty's Theatre from Tuesday 2 February to Saturday 6 February 2027, as part of its UK and Irish tour. It's the stage version of the story we all know: Baby and Johnny, two fiercely independent spirits from different worlds, brought together by the same music and dancing that made the film a hit. The numbers are driven by the songs that stayed with the original, with 'Hungry Eyes', 'Hey! Baby', 'Do You Love Me?' and '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life' leading the way.
On stage, Joel Benjamin takes on Johnny Castle and Charlie Varlet plays Baby, with Federico Bellone directing. The production is touring the UK and Ireland, and the press has been plenty loud about it: The Observer called it 'the biggest live theatre sensation of all time' and the Sunday Mirror described it as 'a phenomenon'.
If you're planning to go, there are a few things to keep in mind. BSL-interpreted performances are available, as are audio-described and captioned ones, so it's accessible if you need those. The Terrace bar and café opens around the shows, too, if you fancy a drink before or after. The theatre is at Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen, AB25 1GL.
