A musical trip back to the 1980s with hits from Dexys Midnight Runners, Culture Club, Wham! and others, backed by a live band, dancers and a cast.
Club 80s Live! comes to The Tivoli Theatre on Friday 15 January 2027, starting at 7:30pm. It's a night built around the music of the eighties, with a live band, dancers and a cast on stage. The set runs through hits from Dexys Midnight Runners, Culture Club, Guns N' Roses, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Erasure, Bon Jovi, Wham! and Deacon Blue.
They describe it as 'The UK's Biggest Eighties Experience', a non-stop musical trip back to the decade. The show is built around a tight live band, dancers and a cast, with costume changes as fast as the hits, big-screen visuals and sound and light that lean on the era's excess. There's a signature moment they point to: a stage illusion in which a mannequin turns into a real girl as the audience sings along to 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now'.
The company has been drawing audiences since 2013, and they bill the night as the ultimate out for anyone who remembers the eighties. It's a broad run of the decade, crossing from the pop of Culture Club and Wham! to the rock of Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses, with the Scottish connection of Deacon Blue in the mix too.
