A charity night of bingo, games and entertainment led by Alex Lovie, raising money for Maggie's Aberdeen and the NHS Grampian Charity Cardiac ICU.
Alex Lovie is taking over the East End Social Club on Saturday 24 October for a charity night of bingo, games and entertainment. It's a fundraiser for two local causes: Maggie's Aberdeen, the cancer support centre, and the NHS Grampian Charity Cardiac ICU at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Lovie is running the whole thing, so it's his name on the bill and his voice leading the night.
As for what you'll actually be doing, the bingo is the main event, but it's not just about marking off numbers. The organisers describe it as a night packed with entertainment, hilarious games, fantastic prizes and plenty of surprises, with big laughs and bonkers bingo at the heart of it. It's the kind of evening that works best if you bring a group alongβthe games are built for a room full of people rather than a quiet night in.
The money goes to two very different but equally vital services. Maggie's Aberdeen provides practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families, while the Cardiac ICU at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is part of the NHS Grampian Charity, supporting the specialist care provided to heart patients. Both are right here in the city, so the fundraising stays local.
