Award-winning accordionist Brandon McPhee marks 20 years in music with a new show of country classics, Scottish favourites and folk music.
Brandon McPhee is back at The Tivoli Theatre on Friday 19 February 2027, with a brand-new show marking 20 years in the music industry. He'll be performing with his band, and the set pulls from a few different worlds: country classics, Scottish favourites, and folk music, with a bit more tucked in around the edges.
McPhee is an award-winning accordionist who won the All Scotland Accordion Championship, and he's spent a good part of those two decades working in country music. He's seen international chart success there and picked up several accolades at the Hot Country TV Awards. More recently, he's played for King Charles III and performed for guests like Margot Robbie and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, so he's used to a fairly wide range of audiences.
One of the specific things he'll be doing is playing the music of Sir Jimmy Shand, the legendary accordionist whose sound shaped generations of Scottish traditional dance and polka and brought the genre global acclaim. So the night will touch on that traditional Scottish dance side of things alongside the country and folk.
