Scottish electro-folk supergroup Birdvox play The Tunnels in Aberdeen with their debut album Shamming the Drama.
Birdvox are playing The Tunnels on Thursday 29 October, bringing their debut album Shamming the Drama to Aberdeen. They're a Scottish electro-folk supergroup, and this is the first time they've taken the record out on the road here.
The sound is right in the name: electro-folk. It's that meeting point where traditional folk melodies and acoustic textures run into electronic production, and Shamming the Drama is the first full-length record to come out of it. As a supergroup, the band pulls together musicians from across the Scottish scene rather than starting from a single band, so the record brings several different songwriting voices under one roof. The set will be built around the new material, and since it's their debut, there isn't a back catalogue to lean on β the night is about this one album.
