UK indie folk trio Beans on Toast, fronted by Jay McAllister, brings its November tour to The Tunnels.
Beans on Toast play The Tunnels on Saturday 28 November, part of the annual November tour that folk act Jay McAllister brings to Aberdeen. It's a UK-based indie folk trio fronted by a songwriter who's been described as one of Britain's most loved folk troubadours, and the set is built around acoustic guitar-driven songs and a storytelling approach.
That storytelling is a big part of what they do. The songs are built on a narrative style that their supporters describe as warm, funny, thoughtful, chaotic and uplifting β a fair bit to pack into one evening. It's the kind of gig where the songs carry the weight, and the storytelling sits right alongside them, rather than as a break between tracks. The whole thing is suitable for ages 14 and over, so it's one you can bring a teenager along to if you fancy it.

If you've never come across them, the sound is indie folk at its most acoustic, with the guitar and the songwriting at the centre. It's a touring act that comes back to the city every November, so this is the Aberdeen stop on that run. The show starts at 19:00 at The Tunnels, which is on Carnegies Brae, AB10 1BF. Tickets are Β£18.00 and go through Skiddle.
