Spoken-word show in which actor James Cosmo shares behind-the-scenes stories from his career, followed by an audience Q&A.
James Cosmo is coming to The Tivoli Theatre on Wednesday 20 January 2027, for a spoken-word evening that's less about a script and more about the stories he's picked up along the way. It's a night of him talking to the room, with a Q&A at the end where you can put your own questions to him.
If you've spent any time watching films over the last few decades, you'll recognise him. He's one of Britain's most recognisable actors, with a career stretching back more than fifty years and roles in over 130 Hollywood films. You'll know him from Highlander, Trainspotting, Troy, The Chronicles of Narnia, Braveheart, Ben-Hur and Wonder Woman, and from playing Jeor Mormont in Game of Thrones. He's usually the presence in the background that holds the scene together, so hearing him take centre stage is a bit of a shift from what he usually does.
As for what he'll actually be talking about, the night is built around the behind-the-scenes stories from those sets, the challenges and triumphs of a career that's spanned five decades, and the personal moments that have shaped him. It's not a formal lecture; it's him sharing the things that don't make it into the final cut, and the Q&A at the end means you can steer the conversation yourself if there's something specific you've always wondered about.
