The 80s pop band Wet Wet Wet perform live at the York Barbican, with special guests The Christians, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their debut album.
Wet Wet Wet are playing York Barbican on Tuesday 26 October 2027, with The Christians as special guests. It's a date on their UK tour, and they'll be joined on stage by The Christians, who open the bill.
The show marks the 40th anniversary of Popped In Souled Out, the band's 1987 debut album. It reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, went multi-platinum, and stayed in the charts for more than 70 weeks. That record brought them to a wide audience with songs like 'Wishing I Was Lucky', 'Sweet Little Mystery', 'Angel Eyes' and 'Temptation', and it also broke them into the US Billboard Charts. The years that followed brought more number ones, including 'With A Little Help From My Friends', 'Goodnight Girl' and their cover of The Troggs' 'Love Is All Around'.
The current line-up is fronted by founding member Graeme Clark, alongside guitarist Graeme Duffin and lead vocalist Kevin Simm. They're continuing to play the songs that first made their name, so the set will lean on the material from those early years.
