Wet Wet Wet celebrate 40 years of their debut album Popped In Souled Out with a 2027 tour, playing York Barbican.
Wet Wet Wet play York Barbican on Tuesday 27 October, as part of their Popped In Souled Out 40th Anniversary Tour. The whole run is built around their debut album, Popped In Souled Out, which came out in 1987. It hit number one on the UK Albums Chart, went multi-platinum here, and broke into the Billboard Charts in the US, making them one of the big British acts of the late eighties.
That record gave us the singles that most people associate with them: 'Wishing I Was Lucky', 'Sweet Little Mystery', 'Angel Eyes' and 'Temptation'. The York date is one of 40 stops across the UK, and the set is focused on that debut. Founding member Graeme Clark has said the songs have taken on a life of their own over the years, while guitarist Graeme Duffin and lead vocalist Kevin Simm have called them iconic and timeless.

Across the tour, they're bringing out special guests on selected dates, with Roachford, Nick Heyward, Rebecca Ferguson, Heather Small, Johnny Hates Jazz, The Christians and The South all appearing at different stops. The York show is on Tuesday 27 October at the Barbican.
