Stand-up comedy show by Troy Hawke following his sell-out world tour, navigating conversational minefields in a riotously funny hour.
Troy Hawke brings his new hour, Never Stop, Never Change!, to the York Barbican on Saturday 24 October. It's his first York date since his sell-out world tour, and the show is recommended for ages 14 and over.
If you've come across him through the videos, you'll know the character: Hawke is an erudite 1930s throwback, a man of impeccable manners and an old-fashioned way of speaking who first made his name paying strangers compliments in the street. The comedy comes from that persona meeting the modern world, and this new hour finds him navigating a series of conversational minefields, both online and in real life. He works his way through interactions with angry security guards, barked compliments and crossed wires, with the humour sitting in the gap between his polished delivery and the chaos around him. A Chortle reviewer called it a 'riotously funny hour'.
It's a character created by Milo McCabe, who has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe every year since 2021. Before this new hour, his shows there included Sigmund Troy'd in 2021, Sigmund Troy'd! in 2022, Work in Progress in 2023 and The Greeters Guild! in 2024. This is the latest iteration of that persona, arriving in York after a sell-out world tour.

The show is at the York Barbican Centre, Paragon Centre, York YO10 4NT, on Saturday 24 October, starting at 7:30pm with doors opening about half an hour before. It's recommended for ages 14 and over.
