Comedian Tom Allen returns to the stage with 'Totally', the follow-up to his sell-out 'Completely' tour, totting up what life is all about.
Tom Allen is coming to York Barbican on Saturday 11 December 2027, with his new show Totally. It's the follow-up to his sell-out Completely tour, and he describes it as totting up what life is all about.
If you've only ever seen him on the telly, it's worth knowing just how many hats he wears. The Bromley-born comedian, actor, author and presenter is 43 now and a regular on British screens: he co-hosts ITV's Cooking with the Stars and the Like-Minded Friends podcast, and hosts the gardening podcast Pottering. His credits run from The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, Last One Laughing and Apprentice You're Fired to Cats Does Countdown, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Would I Lie To You? and QI. He also stepped onto the stage as Ruth in the West End musical Titanique at the Criterion Theatre.
And he writes as well as he performs. He's a best-selling author of two memoirs, No Shame and Too Much, and the debut novel Common Decency. The reviews for Totally have been strong: The Scotsman called it "riotous stuff, perfectly delivered", The Times described it as "a neatly judged mix of realism and ripe exaggeration delivered at a frantically camp pace", and the Evening Standard called it "a riotous rollercoaster ride".
