Tim Hayward is coming to Topping & Company Booksellers on Wednesday 18th November, starting at 7pm. It's a cocktail and a talk to celebrate his book The Cocktail Hour, and as the title suggests, the drinks are part of the evening.
Hayward is a food writer who works for the Financial Times and is a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4's The Kitchen Cabinet. He was named Food Writer of the Year by the Guild of Food Writers, so he knows his way around a kitchen and a bar. The book The Cocktail Hour is what he's here to talk about, and the night is built around it: a cocktail in hand and a conversation about the drinks that inspired it.

It's being held at Topping & Company, the shop that bills itself as the largest independent bookshop in the country, which opened opposite York Minster. If you've been in since it opened, you'll know the scale of the place, and this is one of those evenings that fills it. The talk is on Wednesday 18th November at 7pm, in the heart of the city.
