The Hawkstone Farmers' Choir, Britain's Got Talent winners, perform live in concert at York Barbican.
The Hawkstone Farmers Choir are coming to York Barbican on Thursday 4 March 2027, as part of a headline UK tour. If you've followed them since they first appeared on screen, you'll know they're not your typical choir.
They started when Jeremy Clarkson put out a call for farmers to sing on a Hawkstone beer advert, and more than 40 agricultural workers answered. Under the musical direction of Simon Gwilliam and Lizzie Deane, they entered the 19th series of Britain's Got Talent with an emotional cover of Elbow's 'One Day Like This', which earned Amanda Holden's Golden Buzzer. A following rendition of Bastille's 'Pompeii' carried them through to the final, where in May 2026 they became the first act to perform an original song on the show's final stage, 'This Is Home', and won the public vote.
Since then, they've become a voice for rural Britain, with a landmark performance at The London Palladium and a UK headline tour of 18 concerts. Mental health advocacy sits at the heart of their work: they donated their prize money, including £100,000, to five charities supporting farming, rural life and mental health. A debut album, recorded at Real World Studios, is on the way, so this tour is one of the first chances to hear them live on a proper stage rather than on a telly screen.
