A festive concert featuring Aled Jones and Alexander Armstrong, inviting audiences to sing along to classic Christmas carols during their 2026 UK tour.
The Big Christmas Sing-A-Long comes to York Barbican on Friday 11 December, part of its first UK tour. It's a live Christmas carol concert, and the whole point is that you sing along rather than just sitting and listening. The tour runs from late November through December, stopping at cathedrals and halls across the country, starting in Llandudno on 24 November and finishing in London on 21 December.

On stage are Aled Jones and Alexander Armstrong. Jones sings his own songs, including Walking in the Air, alongside the usual Christmas carols. Armstrong, the comedian, actor and presenter, brings his bass-baritone voice and a fair bit of humour to the mix. The two of them lead the singing, so the audience does a good chunk of the work.
It's a family show, open to all ages, though anyone under 14 needs to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. If you're taking the kids, that's something to keep in mind. There's also a VIP option — the Ultimate Big Christmas Sing-a-long VIP Experience — which adds a premium ticket, early entry, a photo with the two of them, a signed souvenir and a Christmas gift.
Doors open at 19:00 at York Barbican. It's a ticketed event, and there's a booking fee on top of the ticket price. If you're planning to go, it's worth getting yours sorted early.
