Yorkshire's own Self Esteem headlines York Museum Gardens with support from The Big Moon, Moonchild Sanelly, and Joshua Idehen.
Self Esteem headlines York Museum Gardens on Friday 10 July, as the Live at York Museum Gardens series returns for its third season. The venue sits against the ruins of St Mary's Abbey and the Yorkshire Museum, and the gardens themselves date back to the 1830s, covering over ten acres. The series is promoted by the Leeds-based Futuresound Group in collaboration with the York Museums Trust.
Self Esteem is the project of musician, songwriter and actress Rebecca Lucy Taylor, and she's one of our own. This performance follows her third album, A Complicated Woman, and her Mercury Award-nominated Prioritise Pleasure. Her live shows are known for bringing in drama, theatre and choreographed choral spectacle — a style that draws on her time playing Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret.

Main support is The Big Moon, the indie band behind songs like 'Barcelona' and 'Trouble', who released their latest album Here Is Everything in 2022. They're joined on the bill by Moonchild Sanelly and Joshua Idehen, so the full line-up runs Self Esteem, The Big Moon, Moonchild Sanelly and Joshua Idehen. The whole thing takes place on Friday 10 July at York Museum Gardens.
