Seasick Steve live at York Barbican, celebrating 20 years since his discovery on Jools Holland's Hootenanny.
Seasick Steve plays York Barbican on Monday 22 March 2027, part of a UK tour he's calling 20 Out Of The Doghouse!. The title marks 20 years since he was discovered on Jools Holland's Hootenanny, and he describes the tour as a thank-you to the island that adopted him like an old dog.
For those who only know the name, Steven Gene Wold — better known as Seasick Steve — is an American blues guitarist and singer. His sound pulls from boogie, blues, rock, americana and folk, and he's put five top 10 albums on the UK charts. Two of those, 2009's Man From Another Time and 2015's Sonic Soul Surfer, both hit number four. The tour is built around that 20-year anniversary, so the set will likely draw on the records that made him a household name over here.
