Scapegoat

Scapegoat are back at The White Horse in Bootham on Saturday 24 October. They're a local cover band, and this is a free gig, so it's one of those nights where you can just turn up and see them without having to book anything in advance.

If you haven't come across them before, Scapegoat started as a hobby and grew into a regular on the North Yorkshire circuit, playing plenty of gigs throughout the year. They've built a following across the region, and this is one of their many returns to the White Horse. As a cover band, they work from a set of familiar songs rather than their own material, so you'll recognise most of what they play.

Their shows are known for the atmosphere they bring to the room. They don't just stand behind the mics; they spend a good part of the set interacting with the crowd, and that energy is a big part of why they've become a favourite around here. They've been praised for delivering the same kind of experience you'd expect from a high-priced concert, but in a local pub setting.

It's a free entry, so you can just head down to Bootham on the 24th and find them playing. The White Horse is the venue, and the date is Saturday 24 October.
