Free homemade pasta giveaway on Church Street to mark Pranzo Italian's first anniversary.
Pranzo Italian is giving away free homemade pasta on Church Street on Saturday 25 July, and the reason behind it is a good one: the restaurant is celebrating its first anniversary. It's been a year since they opened their doors in York, and they're marking the milestone by handing out portions of their own pasta to people passing by on the street.
If you've eaten there, you'll know the homemade pasta is a big part of what they do, so it's a fitting way to say thanks to the neighbourhood. Rather than keeping the celebration inside the dining room, they're bringing it out to the pavement on Church Street, where you can grab a sample of the stuff they make in-house. It's a simple gesture, but one that puts their actual cooking front and centre.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in York and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a one-day thing, so if you're around the city centre on the 25th, it's worth a stop. The giveaway is on Saturday 25 July, right outside Pranzo Italian on Church Street in York.
