An immersive full-day patisserie masterclass with Nataliia Richardson from Great British Bake Off, followed by afternoon tea.
Nataliia Richardson is running a full-day patisserie masterclass at Carlton Towers Estate on Saturday 25 July. If you recognise the name, it's from Great British Bake Off, and she's the one leading the whole session. It's an immersive day of baking, so you're in for a proper stretch of time at the bench rather than a quick demo.
The workshop takes place in the Cook’s Kitchen, which is the estate's original servants' kitchen. Over the course of the day, you'll work through the art of elegant French patisserie, making two signature pieces from scratch under Nataliia's guidance. She'll walk you through professional techniques and the finishing touches that make the difference between a home bake and something that looks like it belongs in a shop window. You'll be doing the work yourself, not just watching, so you'll leave with a better handle on how it's actually put together.
Once the baking is done, the day shifts to the Walled Garden Vineyard for afternoon tea. There's a selection of sandwiches, tea, and coffee, and the star of the table will be the patisserie you've spent the day making. You can eat your creations there or pack them up to take home. It's a relaxed way to wind down after a full day on your feet.
