Live orchestral performance by Ministry of Sound Classical reimagining dance anthems in the grounds of Castle Howard.
Ministry of Sound Classical are playing Castle Howard on Saturday 15 August, taking dance anthems out of the club and into the grounds of one of the UK's most recognisable houses. It's a long day of music, running from 2:00pm through to 10:30pm, so you'll want to plan for a full afternoon and evening out in the York countryside.
The core of the show is the 40-piece London Concert Orchestra, which takes three decades of dance music and re-orchestrates it for a live stage. They're joined by vocalists, and the set is built around the Ministry of Sound catalogue, with tracks like The Chemical Brothers' Hey Boy Hey Girl, Dario G's Sunchyme, Faithless' Insomnia, and Fatboy Slim's Right Here, Right Now all getting the orchestral treatment. It's a laser light production too, so the visuals run alongside the music.
On the bill are Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Danny Rampling, and Ellie Sax, who join the orchestra for the afternoon. The whole thing is set in the grounds of Castle Howard, so you'll be listening to dance music reimagined by a full orchestra with the house as the backdrop.

Tickets are tiered: General Admission Earlybird is £58.24, 1st Release £61.60, and 2nd Release £63.84. There's a children's ticket for ages 5 to 16 at £40.32, and VIP is £128.80. It runs from 2:00pm to 10:30pm on Saturday 15 August at Castle Howard, York, YO60 7DA.
