Love to Lego - Build Your Own

Love to Lego is running at York Minster from 21 July to 31 August, with the activity based in St Stephen's chapel inside the Minster. It's a hands-on session for children to build their own models from LEGO bricks, and it's designed as a drop-in activity rather than a timed event.

The starting point is the Minster itself. Visitors are invited to use the bricks to create their own architectural designs, inspired by the cathedral. If Gothic architecture isn't their thing, they can build a dinosaur, a rocket or a pirate ship instead. Facilitated sessions run each day during regular sightseeing times, so you can just turn up when it suits you rather than booking a slot in advance.

It's a good one to work around. Because it's a drop-in activity, you can fit it into a wider visit to the Minster without having to time your day around a specific start time. If you're already there for the sightseeing, it's a straightforward addition to the trip.

As for the cost, the activity is included with your sightseeing ticket. Children go free to York Minster, and every adult sightseeing ticket includes entry for four children aged 17 and under. So if you've already got your ticket for the day, you're sorted.
