Ollly Murs headlines the summer series of live music at York Museum Gardens, an outdoor concert series in the city's ten-acre Museum Gardens.
Olly Murs is headlining York Museum Gardens on Friday 9 July 2027, the first act announced for the summer series of live music in the city's ten-acre gardens. It's a pop name to open the 2027 run, and he'll be playing in the heart of the city, right in the Museum Gardens.
Live at York Museum Gardens is an outdoor concert series promoted by Futuresound Group in partnership with York Museums Trust. It's now in its fourth year, and it's grown from a single day to two full weekends to keep up with public demand — the 2026 season sold out. Past bills have featured Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Self Esteem and Super Furry Animals, with the series remaining the park's first major rock staging since the 1970s and 80s. Shed Seven headlined the Gardens in 2024.
There's a sister event too: the York Comedy Festival, which has seen Russell Howard, Ross Noble and Joanne McNally headline. Between the two, the summer brings a mix of music and comedy to the Gardens, with the music side of things having expanded from one day to two full weekends over the last few years. Murs is the first name on the 2027 bill, so there's more to come for the summer series.
