Concert by the Brighton folk-rock band Levellers at the York Barbican.
Levellers play the York Barbican on Thursday 29 October, their first York date in some time. The Brighton folk-rockers are still going after nearly 40 years in the game, and they've built their name on high-energy live sets. This one will be a fully electric show, with floor standing and balcony seating to choose from.
2026 marks the 35th anniversary of Levelling The Land, the platinum album that holds their best-known songs: 'One Way', '15 Years' and 'Far From Home', alongside 'The Game', 'Liberty Song', 'Riverflow', 'Boatman' and 'Battle Of The Beanfield'. It's the record most people associate them with, and given the anniversary, it's likely to feature heavily. A few years later, Zeitgeist hit number one on the British charts in 1995, so there's plenty of material to draw from beyond that one peak.
