Live stand-up comedy night featuring four comics and resident MC Damion Larkin at the York Barbican.
Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club is back at York Barbican on Saturday 24 October, and it's one of three dates they've got lined up this autumn. The other two follow on Saturday 14 November and Saturday 12 December, so if you can't make this one, you've got two more chances before the year is out.
The format is a classic comedy club night: four comics on the bill, all held together by MC Damion Larkin. The comedians they pull from are the kind of names you'll recognise from the telly — Mock The Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats on BBC2 and Channel 4, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow on BBC1, Have I Got News For You, Taskmaster on Channel 4, and Live at The Comedy Store on Paramount. It's a broad mix, so you're getting a few different styles in one go rather than just one act carrying the night.
There's a bit of a track record here too. The club has staged acts like Jason Manford, John Bishop, Sarah Millican and Chris Ramsey before they hit the big time, so it's often a place to catch people on their way up. The resident MC, Damion Larkin, has been billed by the BBC as one of the country's top new comedians, and he's the one who keeps the whole thing moving between the sets.

Each show runs for about three hours, so it's a full evening rather than a quick stop. Seating is unreserved and works on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you've got a preference for where you sit, it's worth getting there a bit early. The night is age 18+, and the show starts at 8pm, with doors opening at 7:30pm. That gives you half an hour to get in and find your spot before the first act takes the stage.
