Immersive murder mystery dinner theatre with a three-course set menu; themed dress encouraged.
Flat Cap Criminals are coming to Carlton Towers Estate on Saturday 3 October, an immersive murder mystery dinner theatre night run by Third Wheel Events. It's a full evening, from 19:00 to 23:00, and you'll be eating a three-course set menu while the mystery unfolds around you.
The plot takes you back to 1920s Birmingham, where Club Inferno is the hottest jazz club in town. It's owned by the notorious gangland family The Blades, better known as the Cheeky Bleeders, and the night brings them together with legendary Londoners Reggie and Ronnie Pistol. The two crime families are meeting to settle a score, and as the evening goes on, you'll be picking through the clues to figure out who's who and what's really happening. The organisers describe it as a night where you'll want to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.
It's a dinner theatre setup, so the three courses come out during the performance rather than before or after. There's a competitive side to it too: Third Wheel Events will award a prize and a certificate to the winning team, so you'll be working with your table to solve the mystery as the night progresses. Themed dress is encouraged, which fits the 1920s gangland setting, though it's not mandatory if you'd rather just turn up and watch.
