Stand-up comedy show by Finlay Christie about his past and search for connection, recommended for ages 16+.
Finlay Christie brings his new show, Champagne Casanova, to Theatre@41 on Saturday 28 November, with the set starting at 20:00. It's a full hour of stand-up that looks back at his time as a 'fuckboy' and his more recent shift towards finding something a bit more authentic. He describes the hour as a series of humblebrags about that earlier period, so expect him to lean into the absurdity of his own history rather than just telling stories about it.
Christie is a comic, writer, and content creator from Peebles in Scotland, and he's been working this end of the business since he was nineteen, when he won the So You Think You're Funny competition. He's also built a following online, with his YouTube work OK Zoomer and Aura Farmer pulling in nearly a million views between them. That same OK Zoomer earned him a NextUp nomination for Best Show, and Chortle once called him 'the voice of a generation'.

Champagne Casanova sits in that space between the two versions of himself: the one who spent years playing a part and the one who's now looking for a genuine connection. It's a paid show, recommended for ages 16 and over, so it's aimed at an adult crowd rather than a family outing. Tickets are available through the venue at tickets.41monkgate.co.uk, as well as through Stereoboard and Ents24. It runs at 20:00 on Saturday 28 November at Theatre@41, 41 Monkgate.
