A workshop to make a traditional Christmas wreath using locally grown seasonal materials, led by Mandy Barker of Wedding Blossoms.
York Castle Museum is hosting a festive wreath making workshop on Saturday 28 November, with a second session on Monday 30 November. Both run from 10.30am to 1.00pm, so you've got a couple of dates to choose from depending on when you can get away.
The session is led by Mandy Barker of Wedding Blossoms, a York florist with more than 20 years' experience. She specialises in Christmas decorating with wreaths of all sizes, from front doors to churches and cathedrals, so you're in safe hands. You'll be making a traditional Christmas wreath using locally grown seasonal materials, and there's room to add your own embellishments if you want it to reflect your own style rather than just following the pattern.
No experience is necessary, and you don't need to bring anything with you — all the materials and tools are provided, and refreshments are included. It's open to anyone aged 16 and over, though under-18s need to be accompanied by an adult. One of the better bits is that your ticket also includes admission to York Castle Museum on the day, so you can spend the rest of your visit wandering through the galleries once you've finished your wreath.

Tickets are £35 per person. Between the two sessions, you can pick the Saturday morning or the Monday morning, both 10.30am to 1.00pm at York Castle Museum, Eye of York, YO1 9RY.
