DMA'S

DMA'S are playing the York Barbican on Thursday 11 February 2027, as part of their 2027 headline tour across the UK and Ireland. The Australian trio has a strong following over here, and their shows tend to sell out, so it's worth getting your tickets in early rather than leaving it to the last minute.

The set is built around their new self-titled album, DMA'S, their fifth to date. It's due out later this year — August, according to one source — and the single 'Hurricane', with its accompanying video, has already been released as a first taste. Two other tracks, 'My Baby's Place' and 'Heatin Park', are out too, so you'll have a few songs to familiarise yourself with before the night. The record was tracked between their own studio in Glebe, Sydney, and in Los Angeles, with Lach Bostock of Mansionair producing. Jimi Somewhere and Styalz Fuego both feature on it as well.

If you're not already across them, DMA'S are an indie-rock trio from Australia with a sound that leans heavily on Britpop, which explains why they've found such a footing with UK audiences. They've been around long enough now to have a proper back catalogue to draw from, so the set should balance the new material with the older songs they're known for.

Doors open at 19:00, and that's when the show gets underway too. It's a ticketed event, and you can book through the York Barbican's own site or via Ticketmaster, with a booking fee added to the price. If you're planning on going, it's a good idea to sort your tickets sooner rather than later.
