Live concert by the Scottish rock band Del Amitri at the York Barbican.
Del Amitri are playing the York Barbican on Monday 16 November, their only date in the city this autumn. It's a single-band bill, so they're the only name on the poster for the night.
If you've followed them since the early days, you'll know the sound: melodic, guitar-led pop and rock that's always had a bit of a songwriting focus at its heart. They've spent decades working their way through a long run of records, and a night like this usually draws from across that whole catalogue. It's a full-band set, so you'll get the songs as they were written, played out in full rather than stripped back.
Because it's just them on the bill, the whole evening is built around their set. There's no support act to work through first, so the night starts and ends with them. It's a straightforward way to see them if you're coming in for the band themselves.

Doors open at 7pm at the York Barbican, so you've got plenty of time to get in and find your spot before things get underway. It's a Monday night, which is a bit different from the usual weekend gig, and the venue is right here in York. Tickets are available through the Barbican's own site.
