Author David McCloskey presents his new spy thriller London Station, featuring Artemis Procter.
David McCloskey is coming to Topping & Company Booksellers in York on Thursday 8 October, starting at 7pm. He'll be talking about his new spy thriller, London Station, which brings back his recurring character Artemis Procter.
If you're not already familiar with him, McCloskey isn't just writing about the world of intelligence from the outside. He's a former CIA analyst who worked in field stations across the Middle East and spent time briefing senior White House officials and Arab royalty. That's the kind of background that usually stays behind closed doors, and it's exactly what he draws on for his fiction. When he describes how things work in the field, he's talking about a world he actually inhabited.
London Station is the latest outing for Artemis Procter, the central figure of his series. The book is a spy thriller, and Procter is the one leading the way through it. McCloskey will be presenting the new novel in person, so it's a chance to hear him talk through the story and the process behind it.
