Concert by Alison Moyet performing songs from Yazoo and her electronic albums 'the minutes' and 'Other'.
Alison Moyet plays the York Barbican on Wednesday 18 November, as part of her Songs of Yazoo, the minutes & Other tour. It's a specific set, and not a career-spanning one: the whole night is built from the Yazoo catalogue and a selection of tracks from her electronic albums the minutes (2013) and Other (2017). Both of those records were produced and mostly co-written with Guy Sigsworth, so they sit in a similar electronic territory.

It's a deliberate shift in focus. Moyet described the move herself, saying, "Many years touring the same pool of songs and I am keen for a palate refresher..." That's exactly what this is — a set that swaps the usual hits for the synth-pop of Yazoo and the electronic work she's done with Sigsworth over the last decade. If you're more of a fan of her electronic side than her pop ballads, this is the one you'll want.
Just to be clear, this is a separate thing from her Generations Tour with The Human League and Soft Cell, which runs through North America in June 2026. This is her own tour, and the York date is part of that.
Doors open at 19:00. It's a ticketed event, and the York Barbican is currently listing it as sold out, so you'll need to keep an eye on official channels if you're still hoping to get in. One practical note for those bringing younger ones: under 14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
