Stand-up comedy performance by Alex Kealy, known for his work on BBC Radio 4 and the Gig Pigs podcast.
Alex Kealy brings his stand-up to Theatre@41 on Tuesday 27 October. He's a name you might recognise from the support slots he's done for Jack Dee and Phil Wang, so if you've seen those two on stage, this is a good chance to catch him taking the full hour for himself.
It's a sharp, fast-moving set. He's been described as 'sharply witty, almost sexily cerebral', and the hour is said to move at 'breakneck pace with surprising turns' — the kind of show that doesn't linger too long in one place before it's off to the next thing. If you're into comedy that keeps you on your toes rather than settling into a slow burn, that's exactly what he's aiming for.
Outside of the stage, Kealy has a fair bit of radio and podcasting under his belt. He's appeared on BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz and The Now Show, and he co-hosts the Gig Pigs podcast with Ivo Graham. The live show has been picking up a decent amount of attention, too: it was a Best Show nominee at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2026, The Sunday Times called it 'a storming show from the whimsical funnyman', and Broadway Baby described it as 'a career-defining show'. The Times also named him among its Top Jokes of Edinburgh 2024, so he's coming into this with a bit of a track record behind him.
