Stand-up comedy show by Al Murray as the Pub Landlord, with meet and greet tickets available.
Al Murray brings his latest stand-up show, All You Need Is Guv, to York Barbican on Saturday 5 June 2027, starting at 7:30pm. He'll be appearing as the Pub Landlord, the character he's built his career around, and this is part of a tour that follows a sold-out first leg across 2026.
The set is classic Landlord: pint in hand, delivering his signature 'Common Sense' hot-takes on the world around him. If you've seen him before, you know the format โ the blustering, the confidence, and the way he works the room. The Times described it as "one of the great joys in comedy to see the Pub Landlord befriend and belittle the front rows," and that's a good summary of how the night usually goes. The Mail on Sunday called him "a supremely polished performer," while The Telegraph described him as "wickedly witty."

There are a couple of things to keep in mind when booking. If you fancy being right in the thick of it, there are 'The Splash Zone' tickets for the front-and-centre seats โ the ones most likely to get picked on. For those who want a bit more, meet and greet tickets are available. The show is for ages 14 and over, and your ticket comes with a tour poncho, a souvenir lanyard, and exclusive digital content from the Guv himself. There's no support act, so if you arrive late, you might have to wait until the interval to get in. It starts at 7:30pm at York Barbican on Saturday 5 June.
