A summer edition of the Acomb Artisan Market returns to Front Street with food, crafts and summer treats.
Acomb Artisan Market returns to Front Street on Saturday 15 August, from 10:00am to 3:00pm. It's a summer edition of the high-street market, which runs on the third Saturday of the month, so if you can't make this one, there are more on 19 September, 17 October, 13-15 November and 19 December.
It's run by Little Bird in partnership with local councillors, the council's Acomb Front Street Regeneration project and Make It York, and it came back to the Acomb Front Street area after a successful 2025. The organisers describe it as a way to serve local communities and give independent traders a chance to show and sell their handmade goods. You'll find a range of handcrafted products there, including clothing, photography, handbags and household items.
It runs alongside the nearby Flourish & Feast market, which focuses on food, drink and floral celebration and showcases the region's culinary talent. Between the two, you've got the crafts of the Artisan Market and the food and drink of Flourish & Feast in the same area, so it's easy to do both in one trip. One house rule to keep in mind: no coffee traders are accepted at the Artisan Market.
