A free, Latin-inspired dance and cardio workout held outdoors at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, part of the Fitness in the Park series.
Zumba in the Park returns to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Tuesday, October 20, at 6 PM. It's a Latin-inspired dance and cardio workout held outdoors, with the class set up near the park's fountains. Instructors from the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA lead the session, and it's open to all fitness levels, so you don't need any prior experience to join in.
The class is part of the Fitness in the Park series, which the Tampa Downtown Partnership runs in partnership with the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA. It's a free session, and there's no registration required—you can just show up and jump in. Since it's held outdoors, it's as much about the setting as the workout, with the park's fountains as a backdrop.

Parking is one of the easier parts of the evening. The Poe Garage is right next to the park, and there's plenty of street parking nearby, along with other paid garages in the area. If you're coming from downtown, it's a quick walk to the waterfront. The class starts at 6 PM on Tuesday, October 20, at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N Ashley Dr, Tampa, FL 33602. It's free.
