Winter Break Camp: Mission to Space

MOSI is running its winter break camps in Tampa this December, with the Mission to Space session for 2nd through 4th graders kicking off on Monday, December 21. It's part of a larger program that keeps kids active during the school break with hands-on STEAM activities—the kind of stuff where they're actually doing experiments and building things rather than just watching a demonstration.

That's just one of several options on the table. The winter program is split across two weeks, each running three days. During the first week, December 21–23, you've got Superhero Science for kindergarten through 1st grade, Mission to Space for 2nd through 4th, and Game On! STEM and Gaming for 5th through 8th. The second week, December 28–30, swaps in Winter Wonderland Science (K–1st), Inventors Workshop (2nd–4th), and Digital Creators Lab (5th–8th). If you've got kids in different age groups, you can slot them into different weeks or different themes depending on what they're into.

Each camp runs from 9 AM to 4 PM, and if you're working, there's extended care available from 7 AM to 9 AM and 4 PM to 6 PM for an extra fee. Drop-off and pick-up both happen under the dome. You'll need to pack a lunch and two snacks for them, and they should wear clothes that can get messy—which is usually a good sign that they're actually getting their hands on something. The cost is $199 for a three-day week, and MOSI members get that down to $160.
