Halloween-themed cookie and cupcake decorating workshop for young bakers aged 12 and under, with costumes encouraged.
Wright's Gourmet House is hosting its Halloween Little Bakers decorating class on Saturday, October 24, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. It's part of their Cake Decorating collection, and this one is built for kids 12 and under, so it's a morning activity rather than an evening thing. Costumes are encouraged, and they're awarding prizes for the best ones, so if your kids are already into dressing up for Halloween, this is a good place to let them show it off.
Each ticket comes with three cookies, two cupcakes, and a bag of colorful icing, which is plenty for a ninety-minute session. The kids spend the morning decorating their own treats, and since it's a class, they'll be working through the process together rather than just winging it at home. The whole thing is presented by Oxford Commons Hospitality Company.
One of the better parts for the parents is that you don't have to just stand around watching. While the kids are decorating, Wright's serves its breakfast menu from 8:00 to 10:30 AM, so you can grab a meal and a coffee while they're busy. Between the class starting at 8:30 and the breakfast menu running until 10:30, there's plenty of overlap to make a morning of it.
