Hands-on, chef-led in-store session at Sur La Table to learn the secrets behind the perfect autumn macaron.
Sur La Table is hosting a decadent autumn macaron tasting at their Hyde Park Village location on Friday, October 23, from 9 AM to 11 AM. It's a morning session, so you'll be in and out before lunch, and it's all about one of the most finicky cookies in the pastry case. If you've ever looked at a tray of macarons and wondered why they're so hard to make at home, this is where you find out.
For those who aren't familiar, Sur La Table has been around since 1972, selling cookware, cutlery, kitchen electronics and bakeware. But the brand is best known for its in-store cooking classes, and this is the first store they've opened in Tampa Bay. The classes here are hands-on and chef-led, and they're built for every kind of cook: beginners picking up core techniques, confident home cooks exploring fresh pasta, baking, seasonal menus and date night dinners. The sessions are designed to be approachable, practical and enjoyable, with students cooking alongside their classmates and leaving with recipes to take home. This particular one focuses on the macaron, a cookie that's as much about technique as it is about ingredients.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Tampa and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
