The Kuumba Dancers and Drummers take the audience on a journey to the African continent through exotic, mesmerising rhythms and joyous movements, presented as part of the New Tampa Performing Arts Center's Theatre for Young Audiences programme.
Kuumba Dancers and Drummers bring A Journey to Africa to the New Tampa Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. It's a morning performance, running from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and it's presented as part of the center's Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) program.
The show is built around two things: rhythm and movement. The Kuumba Dancers and Drummers take the audience on a journey across the African continent, using exotic, mesmerizing rhythms and joyous movements to tell the story. It's the kind of performance that works as much for the kids as it does for the adults in the room, which fits right in with the TYA series.
