STEAM workshop for 3rd to 6th graders that turns them into crime scene investigators using fingerprints, DNA and other forensic techniques.
MOSI is hosting Special Agents, part of its Kids STEAM Workshop series, on Saturday, March 6, 2027, from 10 AM to 1 PM. It's aimed at kids in 3rd through 6th grade, and for the morning, they'll step into the role of crime scene investigators to solve a crime. They'll work with fingerprints, DNA, and other forensic techniques to piece together what happened, so it's a hands-on way to see how science actually works in a criminal investigation.
If your kids are in scouting, the workshop connects to a few official badges. For Girl Scouts, it counts toward the Cadette Special Agent and Junior Detective badges; for Cub Scouts, it fits the Bear Forensics badge. It's a good way to knock out some requirements while they're playing the part of a detective.
