Tampa's first art convention featuring over 100,000 square feet of art, live painting, sculpting, murals and installations from artists across the United States.
Art Fair Tampa opens at the Tampa Convention Center on Friday, October 16, running through Sunday, October 18. It's being billed as the city's first ever art convention, and the scale is hard to miss: the fair takes up 100,000 square feet of the convention center, which the organizers describe as the biggest art fair the Tampa Bay area has ever hosted.
Inside, the fair brings together artists from across the United States alongside a strong local showing, with work in painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media. It's a marketplace as much as an exhibition, so you'll find booths where you can buy directly from the artists. Beyond the booths, there's live painting and sculpting to watch in person, plus murals and installations to walk through.
The fair is organized by TT Art Collective. Lead organizer Tyler Sirota says he wants to grow it into one of the biggest in the country, and they're expecting more than 20,000 visitors over the weekend.
