Turnover plays The Pageant headlining the Down On Earth Tour, with support from Nothing and Trauma Ray.
Turnover are playing The Pageant on Wednesday, November 4, as part of their Down On Earth Tour. It's a headlining North American run that comes fresh off the release of Altogether, the first independent album of their career. The record was written while the trio lived on opposite coasts, and they describe it as their most collaborative work to date. They recorded it at Philadelphia's Studio 4 with Will Yip, and the sound pulls in pop sensibilities alongside elements of funk, jazz, lounge and disco, sitting next to their usual indie grit and punk energy.
Two openers round out the bill. Nothing brings work that draws on existentialist themes of isolation and extinction. Trauma Ray is a Fort Worth shoegaze project led by Uriel Avila and Jonathan Perez, which traces back to a 2018 self-titled EP. The tour follows a summer that included festival sets at Governor's Ball and Bonnaroo.
