Thundercat (Distracted AF Tour) with Channel Tres

Thundercat brings the Distracted AF Tour to The Factory on Thursday, October 29, with Channel Tres opening. It's a double bill that pulls from two very different corners of the West Coast: Thundercat's multi-instrumental funk and Channel Tres's Compton-born rap.

Thundercat is the stage name of bassist and singer Stephen Bruner, a multi-GRAMMY winner who's as well known for his work with other artists as for his own. He's a frequent collaborator with Tame Impala, Gorillaz, and Silk Sonic, and his album It Is What It Is took home Best Progressive R&B Album—a record he co-produced with Flying Lotus. If you only know him from the radio, "Them Changes" is the one most people recognize.

Channel Tres takes the first half of the night. He's a Compton artist who's been pushing West Coast rap into new territory, and his EP i can't go outside landed in Spotify's Top 10 US Album Debuts alongside Tyler, The Creator and Tinashe. Between the two of them, you've got a night that moves from the dance floor to the bass line.

The show is at The Factory, 17105 North Outer 40 Road, St. Louis, MO 63141, and it starts at 7:30 PM.
