They Are Gutting a Body of Water

They Are Gutting a Body of Water play Off Broadway on Friday, November 20, with Truth Club opening. It's a double bill on a Friday night in St. Louis, and the main set runs from 8 PM to 10 PM.

If you've kept up with them, you know the name is half the thing. They Are Gutting a Body of Water has a sound that's hard to pin to one spot—it's a mix of indie rock, electronic textures, and a kind of pop sensibility that doesn't always land where you expect it to. Truth Club opens the night, so you'll get two different acts in one go rather than just one band on the bill.

Off Broadway is at 3509 Lemp Ave, right in the heart of the city. It's a room that works well for this kind of thing—loud enough to let the electronic side of the set breathe, but small enough that you're not watching from a distance. The whole thing is set for Friday, November 20, with the main act taking the stage from 8 PM to 10 PM. If you're coming from across town, it's a good time to keep in mind for your planning.
